Sunday Mail Great Scot Awards and Toronto International Film Festival

As previous recipients of The Sunday Mail Great Scots Award for Entertainment, we'd like to wish everyone involved in tonights ceremony the very best of luck.  While our award was a joy to recieve - and while we're justly proud - it's all the other awards for bravery and charitable work that really humble us.  Good luck to everyone.  This is YOUR night.

Today, however, we're feeling a little less 'great' as we're nursing hangovers after last nights Alliance party and the Hats Off For Mental Health event.  Both were fantastic parties but have left us feeling that we'll never drink again!

The Hats Off event was a riot and we went with our pal Gale Beeby, editor of New In Homes, part of The Toronto Star.  Glen Poloso from Restaurant Makeover hosted and was the perfect MC.  We introduced Matt Dusk and he crooned the audience into a state of elevated frenzy while looking particularly smart in a white suit and stetson hat!   He'd flown in from Vegas just to be there.  When Mariel Hemingway did a speech the crowd was stunned into silence by her candid words.  Blimey - she has lost a lot of family to mental health issues.  Her words were poignant...

After this we headed to the Alliance do and partied into the wee small hours with Cherri, David, Cheryl and loads of other lovely people.  David had been at the KISS concert with his daughter Lara so he joined us later on in the evening.

Lovely running into Muriel Soloman from HGTV and we giggled and caught up for what seemed like ages while revelling with a host of other fun people!

Right now we're heading down to the beach for a browse round the stores but we'll be back home early to get ready for The Hello TIFF party and The ET Canada TIFF party where Will I AM will be DJ'ing.   Lastly we're heading to The Soho House late night party.  Blimey - this city is jumping at the moment!

Tomorrow evening we're going to the TIFF amFAR party with Linda Evangelista and the Shangri La team.  We'll report back!

More later...

Love, Colin and Justin, Crushers of Crap Cribs... xx
