Today, thankfully, the virus has been studied, documented and - in some cases - managed. The medical authorities (and hard working charities, world wide) continue to do what they can. But the fight continues, especially in poorer countries where education is somewhat harder to deliver. Aids remains an epidemic. The battle endures.
