New Car

... and waited and then the dealership called to say it's gonna be tomorrow.  BUMMER!  We were so looking forward to whizzing about today in a glossy black Range Rover.  Ah well - patience is a virtue!

In the meantime our wee Mini's are more than suitable vehicular transportation.  Earlier today we took a bottle of whisky to Stuart, our mechanic, for looking after the wee green one for its MOT.  He's a brilliant guy and knows exactly what he's doing!

And OH - the glamour... we spent a lot of the day sanding paint off our stone stairs.  It's a gruelling - but very rewarding - job!  Our fingers are almost worked to the bone!  Gave up on trying to get old brass rods re dipped in chrome as we found a great high gloss metal finish paint and have done the job ourselves!  How productive are we!

Having dinner this evening with Lynne and Walter, two good friends.  We're heading to Gandolfi in the Merchant City.  It's an old haunt of ours so we're looking forward to going back!
