Why do days pass SO quickly?

So we got up at the crack of dawn and the day just ran away with itself!  Worked with our decorators for most of the morning (now that the actual rebuild of our house is complete) and specified slate grey for the panelled walls in our drawing room.  Then, on a decorating high, we lusted after the STUNNING floors that were recently installed by Mackays Flooring.  They're an amazing company and have workd with us all the way.  We were planning to stain them all in a soft, washy grey, but eventually decided to leave them in their natural oak finish. They really are magical. 

We've painted our living room in softest whisper grey and the hallways are mostly being painted white. We'll add accent walls here and there but for now we're all about art gallery chic purest white.

Our alarm system is now fully live and we've put intercoms on all floors so we can call each other from zone to zone. 

On Wednesday of next week, all going well, we're installing Panel Master wall panelling below dado rail height throughout. most of the ground floor area.   It's amazing to see our lovely old house coming back to life.  It makes us so happy.  It's taken so long but it's nearly there...

Had some brilliant meetings in Glasgow today and then toddled back home and dived into our Jacuzzi.  Now we're feeling totally rested and relaxed.  Which means only one thing... time for a Budvar and a movie!  Hey - it's the weekend!
