A wonderful evening at Number 29.

Not entirely sure why we're up with the larks this morning as we were so late to bed last night!  Have to say, however, the evening at Number 29 was extra special.  The brainchild of Jill Dinsmore and Janis Sue Smith it went with a bang.  Scottish Disability Sport, and Music in Hospitals were the benefitting charities and it was just incredible to see people giving so generously.  Not sure yet what the grand total raised will be, but it's anticipated to be in excess of 20,000 pounds.  Everyone looked spectacular and we met old friends (Rachel from uni days) and made some new ones too.

Robin Galloway was a wonderful MC and we hosted the auction.  Guests in attendance included Scotland's premier hairdressers Taylor and Ann Ferguson, Scottish Sun editor David Dinsmore and TV critic Richard Arnold from GMTV.   Katherine Brown, our favourite ever Miss Scotland, modelled for guests, while all the finalists of Miss Scotland 2010 added extra sparkle and spangle.   As did the perfect double act of male modeldom, Tom and Callum, who, it should be reported, whipped the mostly female crowd into a frenzy!

Left about 12.30 and went up to The Noodle Bar on Sauchiehal Street for a very late snack and finally made it home at around 1.45am.  Why on earth we're so wide eyed and bushy tailed this morning is a mystery!  Blimey - we've been up since 7am!  Think it''s simply the feel good factor after a great evening.

Off for a swim now, then a work list as long as our arm lies ahead.

More later... xx
