Nightmare On Elm St

We've had - kind of - a fun night off!  Went to Nando's for dinner (pre cinema) AGAINST our better judgement and it was singularly ordinary though tasty enough. But the whole place, in our oppinion, looked a wee bit grubby and all the planters outside were broken with rust around the metalwork, etc.  Shame it was so quiet 'cos it's normally rammed.  Maybe recent customers are seeing what we saw and also aren't going back?  We hate reporting all this as we prefer our website to be about celebration rather than criticism.  Still, if we're to be fair, there should always be balance in our musings.  That way, we hope, we remain believable.

Went to see Nightmare on Elm Street afterwards.  It was actually quite enjoyable and actually had a story rather than being simply a generic slasher movie from that franchise.  But there were only twelve people in the whole cinema.  Are we missing something?  Is Tuesday a weird night or something?

Now back home and waiting for our jammies to come out of the drier.  Hey - we're loving having enough time to do all the mundane stuff.  Blimey - we've got SUCH a busy time ahead back in Toronto that we're making the best of every free minute we can find.  Plus, we've got back to back meetings in LA on the same trip so we want to be properly rested...

Excited about tomorrow as we take delivery of four beautiful chandeliers from Iconic Lights.  We'll post pics asap.  It's fun to be reworking our own place for a change.  In our career, thus far, we must have renovated at least 1500 rooms for other people, so it's nice to be focussing on our own bricks and mortar.

Glad to report that our grand old Georgian lady is slowly coming back to life.  She's waited a long time but her proud old face is looking beautiful once again.  She's warm and beautifully wind tight.  We love being here for a while. She looks after us...

More later ... xx
