A Day on Lake Ontario

Spent a fabulous day yesterday with The York Region Firefighters sailing Lake Ontario and watching the air show from the water.  Must have been three hundred of us in a state of elevated frenzy watching the dramatic spectacle unfold.  Our particular favourite sight (apart from the hunky firemen!) was the synchronised perfection of The Snow Birds (Canadian planes) and their dramatic display which culminated in the creation of a love heart trail in the sky.  Quite spectacular!

Later that night we headed to our friend Laurie's for drinks and nibbles.  Lovely Laurie was one of our homeowners on Home Heist and it was great to hook up again and meet her good friend Mitch, a chap she's recently reconnected with on facebook.  After TWENTY FIVE years!
We sang while he played guitar and rolled home, several bottles of wine later, at 1am.

This morning our pal Shaun, a firefighter, brought his co worker round to our place and they filled in some holes in our ceiling that were created when we hung gorgeous new Tom Dixon Beat lamps above our dining table.  And an excellent job was made.

And now we're about to get ready for The Hello Canada party at The Ultra Sipper Club in Toronto.  PLEASE let us find a way to moderate our wine intake!  We SO need a few clear nights!

Hope this finds you all well.

More later...
