Alfies Market at Church Street, Marleybone

We filmed in here for one of our previous projects (The Home Show) and the store and the informed team were very generous with their time. Today we popped back in and it's got even better.  Their metal work consoles with acrylic tops are to die for and the selection of 1950's lighting is just breathtaking.  Mind you so are the prices.  In fact they're eye watering...

But that said... what an awesome inspiration stop off point for anyone who loves Mid Century style.  It's like a design museum of all that's good in global decorating.  Sure, you'll have to run swiftly past all the hippy stuff, bangles and beads (it's all there too) but all the good kit is SO worth the chase...

Go visit and keep an eye out for Madonna - she lives in a glorious townhouse in the same area.  Two reasons to head over!!!
