Happy Days, Happy Gays...

D'you know what? We REFUSED to spend too much money in our recent search for horn hat hooks.  Cheapest we could find 'em was $45 each and we needed ten to hang perfect black bowler hats as a wee installation at our front door.   So $450 for pegs?  Ahem, NO!  Undefeated, we made them ourselves.  The hooks, that is, not that hats.  We used simply brass double pronged coat hooks and fashioned air drying modelling clay around these in the style of horns.  You get the gist - shaped and tapered to look like the real things.  Then we used a fork to texturise each piece and allowed them to dry. Next we painted them brown and then dry brushed them darker brown and cream.  We'll post a pic as they are SO relaistic.  And no stags were felled in their procurement...  Total cost $40 for ten.  Now THAT'S a saving!

Tickled pink.  The money saved pays for our flights to London to The Cartier Polo Tournament.  Which is where we're off now.  Gotta dash... xx
