Olympics opening ceremony

Well it's started.  After a whole load of planning and massive speculation, the games have begun.  We travelled south of the city to watch the ceremony with friends and we were really taken by Danny Boyle's work.  From the Britain through the ages backdrop to the spectacular musical score we loved every moment.

It's been a good period of late that has seen Britian start to rebrand.  First the Royal wedding and then the Queen's celebrations.  In all, it looks like we may eventually reclaim the word 'great' as a pre fix.  Hopefully all thsi attention will help turn around our unemployment crisis too and breathe new life into the economy...

Even though it's 4am I can't sleep.  Which is VERY unlike me.  Think it must be the excitement of the Olympic TV marathon combined, of course, with the remnants of jet lag.  We've only been back from Canada for a day or so.   Either way, I'm sitting here with a cup of tea and two slices of toast (oh the glamour!) having woken up about half an hour ago.  Colin's fast asleep so I'm typing away downstairs in complete silence.

Got a packed week ahead in Scotland.  Still working on products for our home wares launch which starts to roll out across Canada, USA and Britain over the next short while.  We'll be in various stores such as Homesense, TK Maxx, Winners and many others and our range will offer a clear mix of value and style.  We'll post details here when we can...  In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled when you're out and about and spread the word!

We're also working on a slew of private cleint projects in and around Glasgow so our 'holiday' back in Scotland is proving to be more of a work trip. But we perform best when we've got loads on so we're happy boyz...

In other news we've been plotting and planning new angles at www.candjhome.com, the soy wax candle company we run with my sister Colette and her husband Alan.  All our products are hand made in Scotland.  We've got a great free P&P on UK orders over £20 so snap up a bargain!  Scan our site for various other deals too!

Listen out for some features we recently recorded for Real Radio, in association with Specsavers.  They tell of our interest in books and recall the first ones we ever read.  Some cute wee memories!

Trust this finds you all well, hale and hearty.  We'll write more soon.

A huge hug from both of us,

C and J xx
