Rain!
Now, come on! As much as we love Glasgow... our affection for The Dear Green Place is being tested to the limit by the current weather. Pelting rain, grey skies... and all this while much of Britain basks in a heatwave. Were we very naughty in a previous life? Or perhaps we've been very naughty in THIS life. Either way, can we PLEASE have some sunshine?
We've been up since 6 am preparing for our carpets to be installed. Our soft new toe tantalising lovelies are due for delivery this morning and we're scraping the old underlay away in preparation. Most of our floors are either wood or marble but the bedrooms and hallways are about to become two tone grey, contrasting from room to room.
Rebirthing a grand old house is a huge job, but it's almost done. As soon as the carpets are down we can start the fun bit: getting furniture in. Can't wait!
