Good afternoon...

Oops!  Meant to get up at 9 this morning but the jet lag appears to have gotten the better of us.  As we keep reminding ourselves, we're no spring chickens... so sometimes (just sometimes!)  these transatlantic jaunts manage to get the better of us.   We were finally raised from our comatose slumbers by a very noisy alarm at 12 noon.  HOPEFULLY that's our fatigue factor knocked into shape now though.  We'll see...

We've just taken a call from Maclarens, the piano company who've been refurbishing our baby grand, and we're thrilled to report its safe arrival back in Scotland.  It's been on a long voyage of beautification (and tuning!) to London but it's now (apparently!) somewhere in an Edinburgh warehouse.  We get it home to Glasgow next week!  Yay!  Fingers at the ready...

Had our 'penultimate' builders 'deep clean' yesterday.  The work will finally be over this coming Friday and the last clean will be Saturday.  We'll happily tackle projects on this scale again...although whether we could live in another house while the work goes on is another story altogether.
