Busy day so far!

What a fab wee day so far!  Had Millenia Carpets, our fave rug manufacturer, around to our downtown condo this morning to create some custom flooring (two rugs: one grey with a white band and the other black with a grey band) then we dashed off to an AWESOME meeting with a Toronto based ad agency. Brilliant brainstorming session followed, before we left for a picnic on Cherry Beach.  Well not so much a picnic ('cos the ad agency laid on a delicious lunch) more a few wee extra snacks and some cold drinks to cool down in this searing heat.  Yup, the mercury's vertiginous ascent continues apace.  It's gotta be 30 degrees today.  We watched the kite surfers sal into the sky and then drop down like bullets to catch the waves.  Hey - those guys are FIT!!   That reminds us - we've got to get back to the gym...

Leaving the beach, we kept the roof down on the Mercedes to get some extra rays wherever we could find 'em!  With loads of factor 40, you understand...

Toronto finally seems to be getting back to normal after the G20 which is lovely to observe.  This place is generally so chilled and relaxed it was actually a little sad to see the wanton destruction going on these last few days.   And the riot police everywhere.  Still, while there were lots of arrests, there don't seem to have been many injuries.  Just a cost to the city of 1.2 BILLION dollars.  Security is paramount, of course, but we can't help thinking that the cash could have been spent on child care, the homeless or other pressing social matters.  Still, we're not politicians so we'll stand this one down...

Now that we're back at our condo we're working on drawings for some new C and J product and we're putting together some ideas for a new candle range that we're currently birthing.  Deets to follow!

This has been SUCH a fast couple of weeks back home in Toronto.  We've been so busy that we're looking forward to a couple of days rest when we get back to Britain!  Time to enjoy our lovely old house, the labour of our combined love these last few months.  Doing it all remotely from around the world is one thing, but to be there and get on with the refinemnets is another thing altogether.  We can't wait to see what's been done in our absence...

In other news, we're off to the Cayman islands in August to work so we're VERY excited about that prospect!  We're plotting dates as we speak, but, other than that, we'll be splitting our time equally between Toronto and Glasgow.

Shortly it'll be time to head to Pearson.  Our beautiful Scotland beckons.  It's weird but wonderful to have a dual existance between Canada and The UK.   Some people tell us we should choose one over the other and base there permanently.  But we just couldn't do that.  We have friends, family and work in both countries so our global mission of decorative beautification continues apace.  Here's to it say we!  We consider ourselves very luck to have this opportunity.

In the meantime, everyone, please keep safe.  Thanks, as usual, for all your valuable input and comments.  Your support means everything to us.

We'll blog again from the other side of The Pond.

More later...

Lots of love, Colin and Justin  xx
